Kinetic (movement) energy is transformed into sound energy (and probably a little bit of heat energy), so yes, it does. You cannot simply get rid of energy, it must be transformed. ^_^ I think you'll find that quantum mechanics disagrees with you on that one. Look at something called the EPR paradox and Schrodingers cat. Essentially unless somebody measures the sound (e.g. hears) the energy is undecided as to whether it transfers or not. It both does and doesn't. To the earlier question, yes the Americans did land on the moon. The reason the flag looks like it was blowing was because it was folded for the flight to save space so it was crumpled. And my question, What colour does a smurf turn if you choke it?

Smurfs turn a rather fantastic shade of red and then kick you in the stomach. You'll wake up the next day at a tribal ceremony in which they shall try to eat you. The only way to escape is to run like hell and hope they don't catch you.
And I have to say this ... Where in the world ... ?
And if De = La, and La = De, then what the hell am I talking about?
Sorry. Tangent.

What is the collective term for people from Singapore? I've wondered this for a while.
If people from England are English, Australia = Australian, Wales = Welsh, France = French, etc. Singapore = Singapoiran? Singaporish? Singaporsh? You get the piccur.

I'm sure that you're all aware that when you're in water, osmosis causes you to "shrivel up". Do animals like sheep, that are stuck in the rain, experience the same effects of osmosis? Or do they get bigger because their wool absorbs it?

No in water, osmosis causes you to inflate. What appear to be wrinkles on your fingers are actually ridges caused from water having flowed into your skin in certain areas.
And sheep do not absorb or lose water in rain as there wool is coated with a water-proof substance called lanolin.
How come there aren't B batteries?
How do "Do not walk on the grass" signs get there?
If I melt dry ice, can I take a bath without getting wet?

I have no clue to any of those questions ^
My question is: Why do people make computer viruses?

The grass one is quite obvious: people crawl onto the grass with the signs and therefore they haven't technically walked on the grass
