@it occurs in nature: Nightsy is correct, homosexuality does occur and thus occurs in nature. While it might not commonly occur it has been observed in many species. So while in general same sex "relationships" might not happen often, they do happen.
Skipper you make it sound like she was suggesting that because the females care for offspring together it makes them homosexual - surely that /isn't/ what you were impying, since it certainly isn't the message I got from what Nightsy said.
@the bible as a reliable source: It most certainly isn't. Although such laws such as the ten commandments are pretty common sensical, at least for the most part, the bible has been translated, changed, found to have many condridictions and interpretations throughout many generations.

It most definitely doesn't occur in nature, and to think it doesn't is just ignorant. Here, read this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_animals_displaying_homosexual_behaviorAlso I found this interesting: "No species has been found in which homosexual behaviour has not been shown to exist, with the exception of species that never have sex at all, such as sea urchins and aphids. Moreover, a part of the animal kingdom is hermaphroditic, truly bisexual. For them, homosexuality is not an issue." —Petter Bøckman Especially that last part, the animals don't care about homosexuality, why should we?
