Many different opinions on this, I myself am curious and afraid.
I mean if you really stop and think about it, (which I avoid doing) it really is a wonder. So say there is a heaven/hell. You love there for ETERNITY!! So what really happens? You will always be alive? I'm doing my head in typing this. What if there is no god? Perhaps you "reborn" and forget everything about your past life and live all over again? Then that cycle never ends...
So what? When you die, does your brain cease to exist?

When you die, you die. There is no afterlife or heaven and hell, you just stop living. Like being asleep for a very very long time, just not breathing.

I want there to be an afterlife so much. The idea of an eternity of nothingness is an utterly terrifying thought which is why I would love to have the comfort of religion.

Tbh, the whole nothingness thing wouldn't bother me. It's not like I would be awake anyways.

I agree with Tom but still you would be in afterlife for eternity.

I don't believe in an afterlife but I'd like one at least. But I suppose it's better to face reality than conjure up a mystical world for the source of human comfort.

When you're asleep, you don't know you're asleep. It's better to just face the facts. It doesn't bother me because once I'm dead I don't expect anything. Obviously, if there is something I'll be beyond happy. The case isn't really of rather being in nothingness. It just quite simply put; doesn't matter. So yes. Apathy from me. ;D
