That's a very good point. I read some where once that 67% of 15 year olds can cope with emotional maturity. Then the same magazine said that 70% of 16 year olds can cope with emotional maturity. So how does that 3% difference mean being legal and then being illegal, I don't get it.

Who would want to have sex with Dan... More than you think... Also its 16 because its a massive change between 15 and 16 to be honest. Also 16 year olds are more likely to be able to deal with the responsability of protection etc. Also Ben just because you're ready which knowing you I severly doubt doesn't mean that many other 13 year olds are.

The law isn't really there to stop under sixteens having sex, it's so that older people don't have sex with people under sixteen, if they do it's statutory rape.

Yeah, I head if an over 16 man has sex with an under 16 female then he gets charged with underage sex but if it's genders reversed, the woman doesn't get charged. Weird eh?

Weird eh? depends where you are what the rules are in the uk age of consent is legally 16 but thats widely ignored unless someone complains also depends on the relationship of the people involved
