You may have heard on the news that 6 Australian Muslims have been jailed on terror charges, while 4 have been cleared.
One, Abdullah Merhi, was the star player for his football team, and school captain, just 5 years ago, before being swayed to violent jihad.
So my point is. Muslims in the community, sure most are good, hard working people, but the minority (the terrorists, that is) have to spoil it. Should these terrorists be deported back to where they came from to serve their sentence there? Or should they remain in a foreign jail?

That happened here in Melbourne. If you deport them then they are still a risk to the world, it is better off throwing them in prison.

Deporting them to serve their sentence in their home country, I mean.

If you deport they may not get jailed. They could be traded for others if necessary...

I say jail them where thay are. You never know what could happen to them if they are deported. One country's terrorist is another's freedom figther.

I agree with PMD14. If they get sent back to their home country you don't know what is going to happen. They could hijack the plane and the samething would happen.

Exactly. Like if people from 9/11 were caught and deported, I am 100% sure they wouldn't be jailed...

They should stay in a foreign jail, for a certain period of time. then, after that period of time the should be deported to serve jail time in their country if they wish. This is only so their family can see them, as you are not jailed to have a good time, you are jailed for a reason, and that is for you to suffer.

I agree word for word, they should suffer for a few months in the foriegn country then move, then if they want be transported to their own country.

The Bali bombers have just been executed. Personally for this case, I don't really believe in capital punishment. Bali jails are not the nicest places to be, they should be left to rot and contact all kinds of horrible diseases and suffer heaps. They kill drug smugglers, but they give sentence cuts to people involved in terrorism. Says a lot about a nation.
