It kind of is. I mean, each religion believes in some kind of "all mighty power" don't they? They believe that's something up there right?

Uh, no, as previously stated, many religions don't believe in god yet can be still considered a religion.

Definition: An athiest is anyone who is not a theist, that is to say, anyone who does not happen to believe in the existence of any gods.
So in one way, you are correct in that this person is an athiest, yet to be an athiest does NOT mean that you do not believe in a religion. Buddhists believe in a circle of life, down to karma. There is no 'God' involved in Buddhism, though it does beg the question, what do Buddhists then believe causes this circle of life (other than karma - I mean who/what commands it)?

Atheism is a religion seperate from mine, on its own. It is not a part of my religion. And besides, atheism refers more to the disbelief in any sort of higher power or being, whether or not it is a god or something else. If you do believe in a higher power of sorts, but to not follow a pre-made religion, it is known as being agnostic. The belief that there is no proof to show that God exists or doesn't.
And to answer your question, karma has no beginning, because it is a circle. Circles don't begin and they don't end.

Circle's of karma have to begin somewhere, don't they?
You begin your life with no bad marks OR good marks against you, and you end it with a certain amount. Unless you believe in reincarnation, the circle HAS TO HAVE a beginning and an ending.

I do understand what you are saying, but if athiesm refers to the dis-belief of a God, then you are, but if it is a dis-belief a higher power, then that could be disputed, as some people would say that a higher power would have to mean a God, as that is generally the definition of a higher power. And when you draw a circle you start somewhere do you not? The question stands. Who/What created this circle of life?
