some of the bilbe is a joke ,somes ok believe a tiny bit in god like he made big bang None of it is a JOKE. It's serious, it's just meant to be taken metaphorically not literally. Some sort of event like Adam and Eve happened. But there was no fruit, no snake. It was just a metaphor for what really happened so uneducated people could still understand what God meant.

OK, i know that god exists & i believe in everything the bible says, because it is gods word. Hope i didnt offend anybodyl not knocking your beliefs but when you say you believe everything the bible says, how do you reconcile the contradictions? for example: genesis 1 says god (elohim) made the world in 7 days in a certain order genesis 2 says the lord (YHWH) made it but in a different order the psalms and isaiah seeem to say that the lord (YHWH) made it by killing a great sea monster (the rahab) and chopping its body up matthew and luke give different genealogies for jesus matthew mark and luke say the last supper took place on passover john says it took place the day before... It's a metaphor. -_- God is timeless, therefore 7 days for him could be a millenia for us. Also, they had a seven day work week and the people who wrote the bible were trying to make it connect to the people. God, who reads this stuff and takes it literally? I mean honestly...

Well thats your opinion. I believe in all of it, cause its gods word. Everyone is right to their opinion. It could be. But how do you know that some person didn't just make it up? I don't mean to offend you. Also, when did the whole concept of god originate from? Thats ok, you didnt offend me. Ok, this is hard to explain over the internet, but ill try. For my personal experience with god, he has shown me things, that i cant really explain. But sometimes i ask him, to show me something in the bible & then just explain it to me. Next thing i know, what 5 minutes before was a mystery, is now the most simplest thing out. Also there's a lot of faith involved too. How can i say to god, that im only going to believe bits of the bible & not all of it, because he hasn't explained all of it. When he says that its his word, & to follow his word, you cant say "oh, but im only going to believe this bit, cause it makes sense." When god, shows you things, that you know nothing else could do that, then thats proof enough for me & that means, that everything in his word, is true! Im sorry but this is really hard to explain. Am i making any sense?? Also you said, when did the whole concept of god originate from? Do you mean for me or my family?

I get where your coming from. That was one of my biggest problems in believing god & the bible. But over the years, god has shown me amazing, scary & just plain awesome things to do with life. Which for me is enough proof so to say, to not worry about every teeny tiny contradiction that may be in the bible. For if he's real & he says that he is the God that the bible talks about, then how can i say to him "Well, OK you just answered my prayers & saved m,y family's but again. I'm not going to believe your word because to my tiny brain this doesn't make sense." (Sorry if I'm offending anyone)

I believe that God exists but I don't believe in everything that the Bible says. You're not supposed to believe everything the bible says. It was designed to be metaphorical so poor stupid people could understand it. Anyone who takes it literally is... challenged. Lol. So does that mean that i am challenged?

A magician onced put his hand above mine and asked me if I felt anything in my hand. I said that I did and he explained and if your mind convinces yourself that someone is happening, you will feel it happen even if it's not really there. What's happening with you is that you're willing something to happen, and convincing yourslef that it is, so you feel it, even if it is not nessacarily happening. Sorry, to offend you. Btw, I have a really good life without believing in god. Isn't religion the main reason for war?

like some people says. the bible contradicts itself so many times.
plus there is proof of evolution but not of say adam and eve
to be honest i dont think there is a god, maybe a man with a similar name who was a cheif in the many many years ago kind of time, but i believe solely in science. (but im not a scientologist i think... i am not quite sure what that is really)

sorry this is a double post but i needed to write somethings else.
i just want to point this out, worked it out on my own, but im sure others have had the same kind of idea.
Well, incest is illegal, that is certain. Also, when you are in court they use the bible to swear on the truth. Now, i know thats about not lying, but in the bible adam and eve's children had to practice incest to spawn off all these generations-
(and another point, their kids would continue to be inbreeds and deformed, and there wouldnt be inbreeds and deformaties to the extent which they are at now)
- but in the court which prosecutes them for incest, they must swear on the book where its used in practice! apparently
and of course, Thou Shalt Not Kill... yes... but what about the christian crusaders? is it ok for them to kill all those in war?
God is love, and apparently all-forgiving, but he hates homo-sexuals and that massive long list? sorry too strange
yes, there's the whole argument that if he didnt create life then what did? well, i will have faith in that its down to science, and religious people can have faith in that it is their god, or allah, or buddah and so on
