My french teacher once told me about this man that was going to attempt to walk from England to Pakistan, but with no money. He was planning to trade things with people for favours such as a night stay at a hotel for the fact that he would mop their floor. Apparently he got to France and had to turn back because he didn't know any french, but that's not the point. If the whole world took up that concept right now, wouldn't it be us that were poor and the starving people that were rich, because some people here and USA (no offence) are a bit too lazy and will have nothing to give. Yet the starving people in Africa and Asia have been working hard, making clothes and jewelry. They would practically be rich. Discuss?

hmm... along with that thought.. why can't a homeless person go to a restauraunt have a meal and then payback by washing dishes? i think the problem with the world is money and greed if we got rid of currency we could barter items and such and trade items

It'd still be capitalism, the stuff you trade would become the new money.

Yeah, but there wouldn't be currency. And forza, it doesn't matter if it's not Equality, I called it that for the hell of it.

Yeah, but there wouldn't be currency. There would be, the amount of trade you bought and exported would become the new currency. Lets say a batch of pork was swapped for diamonds, obviously you wouldn't get as much pork if you were swapping for a pearl. Therefore there would be currency meaning everyone would still be treated the same as when we used yen and pound sterling.
