This argument was taken up in my school about whether we could use wikipedia for information. So anyway, what do you think?

Yes. I believe it is. Even though it can be edited by anyone, the site has a huge team of staff who are constantly monitoring the content t ensure that all of the information is as correct as it can possibly be.

As they say, it's supposably the biggest encyclopedia ever created, so it must be right? Teachers only don't like it because people copy and paste stuff from there that not even they can understand.

Wikipedia is definitely credible, it's checked regularly and monitored very closely. It's also all sourced to other websites, so really it is credible.

Yep, we sort of came to this conclusion but the teachers didn't budge on letting us use it, so I just use it as a source for other websites.

I use it sometimes to get the basic information I need, then use other sources to back it up. If it was for something important, I don't know if I would totally trust wikipedia, but I do think it is quite reliable.

I think if you're using it for something important, like an essay, then you might want to double-check the info on, say, a scientific journal, but otherwise, sure.

I use it all the timke and it can be trusted.
Teachers just discourage usage since you can cop and paste. Like one time these guys in my class did it, and they left those little numbers that you see on the wiki page on there assignment.
